The mission of Little Einstein's Montessori Preschool is to challenge every student, faculty and staff member to share fully the gifts that have been given to them, to grow in grace and wisdom, to develop spiritually, academically, physically, socially and artistically; and to become people of character who value and improve the world they inherit.
The role of the Montessori teacher is to demonstrate the use of the materials and activities based on observation and careful assessment of the child’s needs. The ultimate goal of the teacher is to intervene less and less as the child develops. The AMI Montessori teacher receives specialized training and education so that he or she can develop the skill of knowing when to intervene and when to observe. In this multi-age environment the children develop independence, creativity, responsibility and a sense of their place as a contributing member of their classroom community.
In a Montessori classroom, children are given the opportunity to develop their powers of concentration and joyful self-discipline. The true discipline of the child comes from within as a freely chosen response to the environment. The Montessori Method develops the personality of the child – not just the intellect.
"Our standards yield returns that both our students and their parents desire"
Multiple options for two- to six-year-olds include half-day, full-day academic, and enrichment programs in private school setting. Phonics instruction begins at age two accelerating each child's literacy development.
The Physical Education curriculum at Little Einstein's is a planned sequence of learning experiences designed to fulfill the growth, development, ethical and behavioral needs of each student. The broadest goal of the program is to help children understand themselves. In doing so, each student will begin to understand the nature of achievement.
Character development is one of the most crucial aspects of any child's upbringing. The lessons we learn as young people influence not only our careers and life choices -- they also help determine the kind of leaders, parents, and citizens we become as adults.
Character Education -- the connection between students' minds and their hearts -- is as much a part of Little Einstein's as its bricks and mortar. Through our Character Education Program, even our youngest students begin to gain a sense of what it means to be a fulfilled and moral person. From their preschool years, students at Little Einstein's have a multitude of opportunities to learn critically important lessons that help shape their moral compass. These engaging activities enrich our entire curriculum, spanning the classroom, the playing field, and the global community.
The spiritual and ethical values that we espouse and affirm at Little Einstein’s provide a guidepost for every member of our community, and a bridge that links us together.
